What each member pays

The fee is the monthly price multiplied by how long the circle runs, paid once before it starts. Weekly and fortnightly circles are priced for the weeks they actually run.

One-off fee per member, monthly circles
Circle lengthStandardPlus
4 months£5.96£9.96
6 months£8.94£14.94
10 months£14.90£24.90

Organisers can be free. The organiser chooses the plan for the whole group, and can choose not to pay a fee themselves.

The fee is paid separately from contributions, so the member receiving always gets the full pot. Fees are paid in pounds from a UK bank account. Full details are in the terms of service.

Which plan is right for your group?

Standard

For most groups. Everything you need to run the circle: the order and dates, payments from each member’s bank with reminders and receipts, a shared record, and a clear path for late payments, swaps and people leaving.

Plus

For bigger pots, or groups that want more structure. Payments can run themselves with Autopay and automatic confirmation, decisions can be put to a binding group vote, a cycle can be paused by vote, members can take more than one hand, and anyone who has received the pot can settle early or agree instalments.

Pricing questions

Is there a monthly charge?

No. The fee is a monthly price for the length of the circle, paid once at the start with one bank approval. There are no monthly charges and no card.

Does the organiser pay?

The organiser chooses the plan for the whole group, and can run the group without paying a fee themselves.

What if I leave early?

If you leave before your contributions are due, or the circle is cancelled, the part of the fee that covers the contributions you will no longer make is refunded. If you leave after receiving a payout, you still owe your remaining contributions, so that part isn’t refunded. The terms of service have the details.

Does the fee come out of the pot?

No. The fee is paid separately, so the member receiving always gets the full amount.

Which banks work?

Most UK banks and building societies that support open banking payments. You choose your bank in Throw, then approve the payment in your banking app. For now, payments are in pounds from UK accounts.
